Action learning
The Lattice Works Social
Enterprise leadership programme for Lancaster District.
Our structured collaborative peer to peer leadership and strategic
skills learning programme.
What
are Action Learning Sets?
Action Learning is a proven, practical way of solving problems, exploring
opportunities, and developing leadership and management skills. Our Lattice
Works Action Learning Sets bring like-minded social entrepreneurs, leaders
and managers together to work through real issues in a collaborative,
supportive yet challenging way. You will work in a group of six or seven
peers who know exactly what its like to lead a social enterprise
because, like you, they are doing just that. Its been described
as the board you could never afford, or you might want to
think of it as business-focussed group therapy!
How
Action Learning Sets Can Help Your Organisation
The power of Action Learning comes from tapping into the wealth of knowledge
that you and your peers already have. By developing your skills to ask
the right question at the right time you can empower yourself and your
teams, develop your leadership abilities and become more strategic in
the way you work.
In
an Action Learning Set you bring real work issues that are important to
you and your organization. Its a place to bring problems that you
might not want to share with people at work. Through dialogue with your
fellow set members you will work on your problem and establish a series
of actions that are right for you. At the next session you will share
with the set what progress you have made. It is this process of sharing
of knowledge and reflecting on the actions you take that develops you
and makes Action Learning so useful.

that has helped more than 300 small businesses and social enterprises.
